Man killed in downtown SLC shooting Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed in an overnight shooting in downtown Salt Lake City on Sunday.
Salt Lake City Police Department said their investigation began around 4 a.m. when they received a call about a person being shot in a parking lot between Pierpont Avenue and 300 S.
“Officers arrived on scene within two minutes,” the department said. “And found community members performing life-saving efforts on a man.”
Officers took over performing CPR but were unable to save him.
The SLCPD said that when officers arrived, they found a “large and chaotic scene.” They arrested two people for interfering with the investigation, but no arrests have been made connected to the shooting itself.
Police are asking for any information on the shooting, and urge anyone with photos or videos of the incident to call 801-799-3000.
