SALT LAKE CITY – No injuries were reported after the Salt Lake City Police Department responded to shots being fired Friday night during a fight involving several people, police said.
Cmdr. Jeffrey North said five to six people were fighting on the sidewalk, and someone pulled out a gun outside the Square Kitchen event venue on 751 West 800 South.
Everyone involved scattered before officers arrived at the scene, and there was no property damage.
North said the altercation stemmed from a dispute involving an ex‑husband who came and fought with the current husband of someone involved.
A suspect has been identified but police are still locating them, and the investigation remains underway, according to North.
Police say there was no ongoing danger to the public.
