Nurse found guilty of manslaughter ordered to serve up to 15 years

SALT LAKE CITY — A nurse who was found guilty of manslaughter and obstruction of justice after her friend died of an insulin overdose was ordered to serve up to 15 years in prison on Monday.

Meggan Sundwall, a nurse from Santaquin, was ordered to serve one to 15 years for manslaughter and zero to five years for obstruction of justice. Those sentences will run concurrently.

Sundwall had been found not guilty of aggravated murder, as she was initially charged.
