Parowan High School dirt bike crash seriously injures teen girl

PAROWAN, Utah — A teenage girl was taken to the hospital after she crashed a mini dirt bike at Parowan High School.
According to the Parowan Police Department, witnesses said the 16-year-old girl was riding a mini dirt bike across the street toward Parowan High School.
She appeared to be out of control due to inexperience or a malfunction with the dirt bike.
The girl crashed head-first into a doorframe at the high school. She sustained “serious injuries,” according to police.
Police said she was in and out of consciousness upon their arrival and alert when medical authorities arrived. She was taken to the hospital via airlift.
Witnesses said she wasn’t wearing a helmet, however, a helmet was found at the scene.
