Pedestrian killed after being hit by a vehicle, Santa Clara-Ivins police say

SANTA CLARA, Washington County — A woman was fatally hit by a vehicle Friday evening, Santa Clara-Ivins police say.
According to police, first responders responded to a personal injury accident at Pioneer Parkway and Jacob Drive.
When they arrived, it was discovered that an 82-year-old woman was stuck in a vehicle. She was transported to the hospital, where she died due to her injuries.
“The driver of the vehicle which struck the pedestrian is being cooperative with the investigation process,” police said in a press release.
The area was closed off for several hours as police investigated the fatal accident.
On Monday, police identified her as Anand Kamlesh, a Utah resident.
Police said this fatal accident is still under investigation and are asking anyone with more information to contact them at 435-652-1122.
