Persons of interest identified in Midvale massage parlor homicide, police seek information

MIDVALE, Utah — According to the Unified Police Department, law enforcement officials are still investigating the murder of a woman at a massage parlor.
Police said the victim was a Chinese immigrant. She was attacked and stabbed multiple times between 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2024. The victim was working alone at the time of her attack.
According to police, detectives have identified several persons of interest. Their involvement has yet to be determined.
At this time, police are seeking information from the public. They have asked those who were in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything noteworthy to reach out to the Unified Police Department. They can be contacted at (801) 840-4000.
“In light of this disturbing incident, we urge individuals working in similar occupations to exercise extreme caution when dealing with clients and report any suspicious interactions, whether past or current, to the local authorities,” said the press release.
