Search underway for person who rammed patrol car in stolen vehicle, police say

TAYLORSVILLE — A person rammed a police car with a stolen vehicle in Taylorsville on Wednesday, police said. Officers were still searching for the suspect at approximately 2 p.m.

Lt. Aaron Cheshire with the Taylorsville Police Department said officers initially found the stolen car in the area of 4100 South and Redwood Road. Then the driver rammed one of the police cars, he said, before running away from the scene.

Cheshire said police were searching for the suspect in the area of 3900 South and 700 West.

A description of the suspect was not immediately provided.
