Shots fired in Eagle Mountain neighborhood, one person airlifted to hospital, suspects in custody

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah — One person is hospitalized, and three juveniles are in custody after a shooting Tuesday night in Eagle Mountain.
In a press release, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office stated the shooting took place on the corner of Morgan Way and Wild Horse Way. It said the shooting was an altercation between two groups made up of both adults and juveniles.
During the incident, an adult male was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after being shot. He has been moved to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, where he remains in critical condition.
Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with the shooting. Due to them being juveniles, the sheriff’s office will not be releasing their names. It is also not releasing the name of the hospitalized man at this time.
Authorities have located a handgun used in the shooting. They said it was stolen from “another jurisdiction.” It has been recovered as evidence.
The sheriff’s office stated one home and one parked car were damaged during the shooting.
The three juveniles have been booked into the Slate Canyon Youth Center on charges of aggravated murder, disorderly, riot, felony criminal mischief, felony discharge of a firearm, juvenile in possession of a firearm and gang enhancement.
The investigation remains ongoing.
