2 taken into custody in Wyoming after 1 person was killed in Salt Lake City hotel

SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead, and two people are in custody, after a shooting at a hotel in Salt Lake City on Monday morning.
The Salt Lake City Police Department said the shooting took place near 600 South and 300 West. The department initially said the male victim was injured, but police on scene told KSL he had died.
Detective Michael Ruff with Salt Lake police said they found the victim inside a hotel room. He died at the scene.
Sgt. Greg Wilkin identified the man who died as 32-year-old Christian Lee from Kearns.
As Salt Lake City police began investigating, they identified a suspect vehicle, and, that the vehicle may have been taken to western Wyoming. Later Monday morning, the car was located and stopped by deputies with the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office.
“Two people in the car were taken into custody,” Salt Lake City police wrote in a press release.
Police said that homicide detectives will travel to Wyoming where an investigation will continue, and where the extradition process will begin.
