SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday.

According to a press release, SLCPD received calls about a shooting in the area of 300 E. 800 S. at approximately 2:37 a.m.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a deceased man on the sidewalk. From here, SLCPD requested help from detectives with the Homicide Squad.
