PRICE, Utah — The Utah Highway Patrol says a 26-year-old man died Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash in Price.
According to a news release, a 2023 white Freightliner with a box trailer was traveling eastbound on 100 North at about 9:51 p.m. as it approached the Main Street (SR-55) intersection in Price. At the same time, a 2020 white Toyota Camry was heading southbound on SR-55.
The release states that the driver of the Toyota failed to stop for the red light and was hit broadside on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Emergency personnel performed life-saving-procedures on the 26-year-old driver. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Freightliner received minor injuries. Both were treated and released on scene.
SR-55 was limited to traffic for roughly three hours during the crash investigation and cleanup.
The UHP says impairment is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.
