High school wrestling bus shot at, no injuries, police searching for suspect

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for a suspect who shot at a bus carrying the Westlake High School girls wrestling team late Tuesday night.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden, the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The team was on its way back to Westlake High from a competition. The team bus was traveling on northbound I-15 and was near the area of Lindon, Utah.
Roden said an occupant in a white pickup truck fired several rounds of an airsoft gun or pellet gun at the bus, breaking several windows.
No one on the bus was hit or injured.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing as police continue searching for a suspect.
