West Jordan shooting sends one to the hospital

WEST JORDAN, Utah — The West Jordan Police Department responded to a shooting shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, they discovered that an adult male had been shot once. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses are cooperating with officials as they work to investigate the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

The West Jordan Police Department’s forensics team is currently processing the scene, and the area will remain closed for a while.

Law enforcement is still trying to determine the number of suspects involved, with at least one suspect and possibly two believed to be connected to the incident. The shooting took place in front of residential homes.
