OREM, Utah — Election Day numbers stopped rolling in around midnight for Utah County. And initial numbers showed that voters chose to not split the Alpine School District.
At the time of publication, 70% of voters voted against Prop 2. Which would mean Orem will remain a part of the Alpine School District.
This was one of the most heavily debated issues leading up to the election with strong opinions and voices on both sides.
But now the voters have spoken and they’ve said no.
On top of that, the count shows voters chose to oppose the $595 million bond for the district that would cost $595 million. At the time of publication, numbers showed 53% of the popular vote was against the bond.
