CHICAGO — Following Oprah Winfrey’s surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention, rumors swirled online on Thursday of another possible surprise guest for the DNC’s final night. Speculation on who another DNC surprise guest could be ranged from Utah Sen. Mitt Romney to pop star Taylor Swift. Many online are placing their bets on Beyoncé.
The talk surrounding a surprise guest was loud enough for Romney to address the rumors on social media.
Romney shot down the idea of him appearing during the final night of the DNC, but shared his own guesses in his post.
Contrary to fake news posts, I am not the surprise guest at the DNC tonight. My guess is that it will be Beyoncé or Taylor Swift. So disappointing, I know!

KTAR host Jim Sharpe is at the DNC in Chicago. He told Jeff Caplan’s Afternoon News that he’s heard a lot of rumors about a surprise guest for the final night.
“If you believed everything you heard here, you’d believe a lot of crazy things,” Sharpe said. “Of course, the rumor’s been flying around that Taylor Swift is going to show up, [or] Beyoncé.”
