1 person sent to hospital after Sandy house fire

SANDY — One person was sent to the hospital Sunday after a fire broke out in a Sandy home, according to the Sandy Fire Department.

According to the fire department, the fire broke out near the residence of 8600 South and Ida Lane.

All residents were evacuated, but one person received second-degree burns when trying to put out the fire. They were sent to a nearby hospital, the fire department confirmed.

The cause of the fire has not been announced.
