‘Blown tire’ likely caused brush fire on I-15, Hurricane Valley Fire says

TOQUERVILLE, Washington County — A brush fire started on Interstate 15 Sunday afternoon, which Hurricane Valley Fire said was likely caused by a blown tire.
In a Facebook post, fire crews responded to a brush fire along Interstate 15 near mile Marker 29.
Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue said many resources, including support from the Bureau of Land Management, responded.
The post said that fire crews encountered an active brush fire that burned approximately 1.32 acres. The crews were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire.
Hurricane Valley Fire believes the fire was human-caused and most likely by a blown tire.
