NWS reports official damage, strength of ‘brief’ tornado in northern Utah Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY — A small tornado was reported in northern Utah on Saturday.
In a post to X, the National Weather Service of Salt Lake City said a “brief” EF-1 tornado was recorded along the border of Rich and Cache County.
After conducting a damage survey, it was determined that a brief EF-1 tornado with estimated peak winds of 100 mph occurred 4/11 along the border of Rich County and Cache County near Sink Rd. and Hodges Canyon. Damage was limited to trees. #utwx. https://t.co/mNEbE1Evph pic.twitter.com/xsG7Pox8ro

The NWS said the tornado occurred near Sink Road and Hodges Canyon.
At its fastest, NWS determined the tornado blew at 100 miles per hour. It lasted for 0.44 miles.
No injuries resulted from the tornado. Some trees in the area were damaged.
