Parts of Utah dotted with snow Sunday morning

SALT LAKE CITY — Parts of Utah were dusted with snow Sunday morning, prompting authorities to remind people to drive and recreate safely.

As the snow fell, the National Weather Service Salt Lake City posted to X, encouraging those on the roads to drive safely, citing snowy road conditions.

The Utah Avalanche Center in Logan also posted to X, saying avalanche danger “will rise” to moderate in the backcountry.

11/30/2025: The avalanche danger will rise to MODERATE today in the backcountry as snow begins to accumulate and is drifted onto upper-elevation slopes with preexisting shallow, weak snow. People could trigger small slab avalanches on drifted slopes steeper than 30°. pic.twitter.com/xMgWxwoETT

In another post to X, Utah Daily Snow reported 0.5 of an inch of snow at Alta-Collins.
