Storm brings a hefty amount of snow to southern Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — A storm in southern Utah brought enough snow to Kane County on Wednesday to bury a Utah Highway Patrol trooper’s vehicle.
“We spent all winter asking, ‘Where’s the snow?’,” UHP said on Saturday. “To the last 48 hours and we’re asking, ‘Where’s the car?'”
UHP took photos of the vehicle at Duck Creek Village and posted the images to its Facebook page.
“Now that we’ve made it through the first and maybe last snowfall of the year,” UHP said. “We wish you a safe, slow and happy weekend!”
In Kanab, snow levels reached 9 inches. By Friday morning, KSL meteorologist Matt Johnson said Bryce Canyon National Park got over a foot of snow.
