Storm clears up air, makes its way through central and southern Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — An overnight storm came and went through northern Utah Tuesday and is now making its way through the central and southern parts of the state.
KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson said central and southern Utah will see mostly rain and some snow on Tuesday.
“Not a ton of snow expected across the Wasatch, most of that happened this morning. Into southern Utah, that’s where most of the activity will be.”

Johnson said the storm helped clear out the nasty air that had built up along the Wasatch Front.
“We’re already seeing the clear air out there this morning. It’s so nice to be breathing in fresh, clean air. We are in the green from north to south, including Cache Valley.”
Temperatures are also expected to rise as the week progresses. Johnson said we’re looking at highs in the 40s for President’s Day weekend in Salt Lake City.
