Power restored to thousands, work continues, after winter slams Utah

SALT LAKE CITY –The severe storm in northern Utah this weekend led to hundreds of power outages, at times leaving almost 10,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers without electricity.
Heavy snowfall and strong winds disrupted essential services in many areas. Rocky Mountain Power said it’s line crews are working diligently to assess issues, and restore power as soon as they can.
Rocky Mountain Power attributes the outages to damaged power lines. According to their website, they say that every possible effort is being made to expedite the restoration process.
