SALT LAKE CITY — It’s billed as the largest data center in the United States, and maybe even the world, and it’s coming soon to Utah’s Millard County.
What does that mean for Millard County, and by extension, for Utah?
Millard County Commissioner Bill Wright told KSL NewsRadio’s Inside Sources that the center will accomplish several things, including easing property taxes in the county.
“I’m trying to develop a philosophy in our county that new money and growth that we have, we give back, a large portion of that back to taxpayers,” Wright said.
The center is expected to be built in Delta, Utah, which is about 90 miles southwest of Provo.
Commissioner Wright also addressed concerns over the amount of power and water the center will need in order to function. You can listen to the complete segment above.
