TOOELE COUNTY — A 3-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding his bike in the area of Silver Avenue and Rogers Street in Stockton on Friday afternoon.

The child sustained a laceration to his head and other injuries, according to Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, the child was conscious and speaking with the responders, but was transported by medical helicopter to a Salt Lake Valley area hospital for treatment.

The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

According to police, this remains an active investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
