Greek Orthodox Archbishop over the Archdiocese of America visits Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City played host to the Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America when he met with civic and religious leaders last week.
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros was in Utah began on Thursday with a meeting with the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The church says the meeting was an opportunity for the First Presidency and the archbishop to become better acquainted. After that meeting he was then shown around Temple Square and attended an organ recital.
The archbishop also met with Bishop Sollis of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City, along with Reverend Moses with the Calvary Baptist Church. He also spent some time with Salt Lake City mayor Erin Mendenhall and the two planted a tree together.
