“I can’t think of anyone more deserving of being honored on the Teacher Tribute Wall than Allison Young. In her ten years of teaching, she’s helped open a brand-new school, become an incredible leader on her 3rd-grade team, and earned the love and respect of parents, teachers, and students alike. She’s the kind of teacher who keeps parents informed, always has her teammates’ backs, and is willing to step up as a voice for teachers by attending extra meetings and taking on leadership roles. She’s one of the most educated teachers I know and is always looking for ways to grow. But what I admire most is her heart. Allison truly loves children and fights for what’s best for them every day. Even while living with chronic health challenges and constant pain, she continues to show up for her students, her husband, her two little girls, her family, and her friends. She is the first person to help someone else, even when her own body is struggling. Her kindness, resilience, and selfless love for others make her a true hero, and I can’t imagine anyone more worthy of this recognition.”
