“Ms. Pressler is truly an extraordinary teacher who exemplifies everything this award stands for. Her ability to build meaningful, authentic relationships with her 6th-grade students is nothing short of remarkable. She knows each of her students deeply—what they love, what drives them, and what makes them feel seen. It’s not uncommon to walk into her classroom and hear her engaging students in conversations about their hobbies, families, or favorite activities. Her students light up in her presence because they know they are genuinely cared for and valued.
Ms. Pressler creates a classroom culture where students feel safe, respected, and excited to learn. It’s easy to see how much they adore her and how much joy they find in being part of her class. Beyond her incredible student relationships, Amy is also an outstanding colleague. She is always open to collaboration, eager to try new ideas, and approaches every challenge with positivity and professionalism.
As the instructional coach at our school, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Amy and getting to know both her and her students. Her passion for teaching, her commitment to her students, and her willingness to grow and support others make her an absolute rock star. Amy is not only an incredible teacher—she’s an inspiration. When asked if she is ready for the school year to end she replied “NO! I absolutely love my class, and hate to see them go.”
