“Ana is an amazing middle school teacher. Our school has only been open for 2.5 years, and already Ana has become an integral part of our school culture and climate. She has played key roles in helping build our World Languages programs here at HVMS. We offer Spanish, French, and also Portuguese Dual Language Immersion. Kids love to be in her class as she makes learning languages fun and exciting.”

“Ana is an exceptional teacher who is constantly doing things in the best interest of her students. Her creativity in lesson planning allows students to be excited about coming to class to learn language skills and interesting cultural facts about Spanish speaking countries around the world.
I have observed her interact with her students in a class setting and found her to be organized, motivating, fair, patient, and positive. She challenges her students and helps them be more successful. Ms. Alcala really shows that she cares about her students.”

“Ms. Alcala also looks for ways to better the overall success of Hidden Valley Middle School. She is eager to take on any new challenge and will successfully complete any task required of her. The other teachers on staff welcome her personality and friendly demeanor. Students also enjoy interacting with and being around Ms. Alcala. She is the kind of educator who greatly affects student success. Parents appreciate her style of communication and willingness to work with their student to help them both academically and socially.”

“It is because of teachers like Ms. Alcala, that help make our Utah schools so successful. Her high expectations for her student learning, and then supporting them to achieve those expectations, is what makes her so great.”

“I strongly recommend Ana Alcala for this reward and recognition.”
