“Mrs. Larsen is absolutely dedicated to the teaching of her students. While educators are often perceived as “9:00 – 3:00, September – May” workers, I can attest to the fact that Mrs. Larsen is often at school until after 8:00 many nights, and when she is not traveling with her family during the summer, she can be found organizing her classroom and planning for the upcoming school year.

Another amazing thing she does is cater to the different learning styles of her students. When she discovers that one of her pupils is struggling to learn a concept, she will adapt her teaching methods to convey the material to the students in a way that they can relate to it. As an elementary school teacher, she knows that she is preparing her students for learning on higher levels, so she does everything she can to give her kids the tools they need so that as they progress through their educational experience they will have tools they can use to grasp the more difficult concepts.

Because of her dedication to her students that she demonstrates through time spent and being willing to explore different teaching techniques to make sure that her students succeed, I believe that Mrs. Larsen represents the best of our educators!”
