“For the last 25 years Mrs Kjar (pronounced care) has lived up to her name in the service of her elementary students. She will be retiring at the end of the school year and deserves to be celebrated.
Mrs Kjar has been one of the most influential teachers we’ve ever had. My children have had the chance to have her these past 4 years and she has made the most positive impact on them. She tirelessly worries and thinks about the students in her classroom to pull out their natural talents and helps them improve. She is thoughtful in her approach and always has something positive to say about each kid.
She is often seen showing up to support our children outside of school because she has a love for each of them. She is compassionate to those who don’t fit the mold, and is an advocate for them. She has saved my daughter from bullying when she noticed that something wasn’t quite right. She contacted us and thanks to her swift involvement, it did not go any further.
Mrs. Kjar is a breast cancer survivor which she went through just after Covid. She cares for her homebound spouse and deserves to be recognized and celebrated!”
