“Mrs Mac” is such a caring and patient teacher at Hayden Peak Elementary. She is a resource teacher (special ed) and has gained a trust and “like” of my grandson, Sten – 2nd grade (ADHD/autism). She takes the time to interact with the children and “really know” them (she also knows he has a younger brother in kindergarten and who his teacher is). She finds what he likes, what makes him happy, what can help calm him down, ways to make him feel proud of his good choices, and actually listens to his problems and helps him work through a solution. She conveys her interactions with him to his parents and to me (I’m grandma and pick the boys up from school often). She lets us know his good days as well as his hard days.
We are so sad to learn she will be moving on to another school next school year. They will be so lucky to have her.
She deserves big recognition for all her efforts, interactions, care, and LOVE for the studens at Hayden Peak Elementary ❤️”
