Dr. Andrew Larson, Box Elder High School

“My family and I would like to nominate Dr. Larson for consideration for this award. Over the past two years at Box Elder High School, he has positively impacted the lives of my daughter and many other students.
Dr. Larson is an exceptional teacher with a proven ability to simplify complex vocal and musical concepts for students, which has been immensely valuable for those just starting their studies. Moreover, Dr. Larson fosters an atmosphere that enhances students’ learning potential by treating each individual with respect and dignity. These combined strengths make him an effective educator.
Dr. Larson offers development and learning opportunities beyond regular class hours. Specifically, he provides students with individual voice training, often sacrificing his lunch period. This gesture reflects his commitment to teaching and improving the lives of his students.
Through these individualized voice lessons, he has enhanced my daughter’s singing ability and provided her with the mental and emotional support necessary for performing before others, including her peers. By helping to improve my daughter’s voice and her mental and emotional well-being, he has significantly boosted her confidence to learn and apply new skills. His teaching and instruction have imparted vital skills applicable to other areas of her life.
Dr. Larson is a valued member of Box Elder County, as the performances and concerts he facilitates are community events. My family will continue to attend these concerts and performances, even when some family members do not participate. These performances and concerts possess significant musical merit, making them enjoyable for the audience and the general public.
For all these reasons, my family and I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Larson’s receipt of the this award, confident that he will continue to serve Box Elder High School and Box Elder County with distinction.”
