“I just had to nominate Jana Timpson again. Since my first nomination last month, she has done so much more to enrich the lives of the students of Granger High School. Just last week, the theater students wrapped up their performances of Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None.” Before the final curtain call had even happened for that performance, Ms. Timpson began advertising and assisting students in preparing for the theater company and theater troupe auditions for 2025-2026. Then yesterday, I saw Ms. Timpson on our school announcements promoting the theater auditions and offering to help students who were interested in the opportunity! Her enthusiasm for theater, and desire to provide amazing opportunities for all students, was palpable!”

“I can’t think of a more fitting teacher for this award than Jana Timpson. Ms. Timpson started at Granger High School in 2018. She was immediately put in charge of the entire theater department, which at a school with 3400 students, is a monumental task.
Ms. Timpson radiates such a positive energy, and her love and enthusiasm for the theater and teaching her students is evident in everything she says and does. Ms. Timpson practically lives at the school because of the hours she puts in helping her students to create performances that they can be proud of and that boost their confidence and self esteem!
I have been to several of Ms. Timpson’s theater performances, and they are absolutely unbelievably amazing! She has a way of making the theater come alive, while making the material accessible and understandable for both the students involved in the plays and the audience.
One of my favorite performances was Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare set in the 1940’s. It was so evident by how the students acted and said their lines that they truly understood the work. It was amazing!
Ms. Timpson never takes credit for the performances – she always shines the spotlight on her students. It would be wonderful for Ms. Timpson to receive this award and get a bit of the recognition that she so deserves!”

“When I was sitting in the car listening to the add for this, I thought about all the teachers I have had and I couldn’t think of a person who deserved this more than anyone Ms. Timpson. Timpson has not only made me a better actor but she made me a better person. She always make sure we know we are loved and I hope she knows we love her too. This is also proof I listen to the radio.”
