“Mrs Mortensen taught both of my children. I have also been privileged to be in her 4th grade classroom and see her at work. Her love for her students is noticeable in how she teaches. She put fun into science, math, language arts, social studies/history, everything. She uses hands on tools whenever possible and show such joy in her teaching. This past year her math class showed such significant growth that the school has asked her to talk with other teacher’s about what she did to create an environment where such growth in learning could take place. Mrs Mortensen is just amazing! One of those teacher’s that truly makes a huge difference in the lives of the students she has had over the years.”
