“It is with immense joy and deep respect that I nominate Mrs. Jenna Marshall for this Cyprus Teacher Award. As a kindergarten teacher, she exemplifies the true heart of early childhood education through unwavering kindness, genuine connection, and an abundance of love for each child!
From the moment students walk through her classroom door, they are met with warmth, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. Mrs. Jenna has an extraordinary gift for seeing each child as an individual—understanding their needs, celebrating their strengths, and gently guiding them through challenges with compassion and patience.
Her classroom is a place where kindness is not only taught but lived daily. She fosters a community built on empathy, respect, and trust. Whether it’s helping a shy child find their voice, comforting someone having a hard day, or celebrating even the smallest milestones, Mrs. Jenna does it all with grace and an open heart.
What sets her apart is not just professional skill, but the love that flows through every lesson, every conversation, every moment. She reminds us that at the foundation of great teaching is great caring—and that makes a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
Mrs. Jenna was made to be a teacher, those beautiful gifts and qualities she possesses are exactly what every school and every child need in their life! This week in our Student-Lead conferences for the end of the year, Mrs. Jenna started crying, which in turn made me cry for how proud she was of my son and how much she was going to miss him as he goes on to first grade. I am getting emotional at this very minute as I write this because it wasn’t just the tears that touched this mama’s heart, but it was also the connection she had with my son. My son had a speech delay and we went the route of DDI, which he was approved for early placement of pre-school. Even with my son having almost three years of pre-school and a speech therapist my son had to still start Kindergarten with an IEP. Through Mrs. Jenna’s dedicated focus, encouragement, and love, my son is excelling beyond grade average and no longer has an IEP. Just as importantly my son has a voice that has been heard, and his heart has been touched! I truly believe that all those that encounter Mrs. Jenna their own hearts are intensified with acknowledgment and a deeper sense of worth!
It is hard to put into words the lasting impact Mrs. Jenna has had, not just on students, but on colleagues and as the parents. She inspires all of us to lead with kindness, teach with love, and connect with purpose!”
