“Mr. Madsen is one of the most influential and incredible teachers my kids have had. He teaches Jr High band and that alone can be the most difficult job ever. However, he can get my kids to actually practice….a lot!
Attending a band concert at Legacy Jr High is one of the most incredible things I have ever witnessed. All of the kids are self sufficient; running around setting up stands, music, instruments, etc with no direction from Mr. Madsen. They just know what to do. However, the most incredible thing that Mr. Madsen does is when he leads the Jazz band. He starts the kids, and then will go and sit down in the audience for the rest of the song. In my mind, that is the epitome of an amazing, teacher! A teacher who teaches the kids to do things so well on their own that they are disciplined and self sufficient!
Mr. Madsen is definitely deserving of some recognition! Thank you for making a lasting impression on so many students!”
