“Mrs. Cimenski is kind but her kindness isn’t loud or performative. Its patient, consistent, and deeply human. She notices the student who never raises there hand and the students who always do. She notices the students whose notebooks are full of doodles and not words and she finds ways to draw them out believing everyone has a story worth telling. When a student is struggling she doesn’t scold them or call them stupid, instead she pulls them over and says “Lets figure this out together.” Her encouragement is like an anchor, a quiet reassurance that doesn’t require perfection. Her desk is always cluttered, but not in chaos but with care and decorations regarding her interests. To her teaching is not a job but an act of love. A way of planting a small invisible seed of confidence and compassion that will bloom long after the bell rings to dismiss her students onto the next class.”

-Genevieve Marcelin

“She’s a super nice teacher to all of her students. Whenever we need help she is always happy to help and is willing to spend time after school to help you get your grade up. She lets you do your own thing and makes the assignments super clear but still gives you a little challenge. She is always encouraging you to try your hardest no matter what. Even if you fail she says always learn from your mistakes.”

-Trinity Wahlstrom

“Mrs. Cimenski is an amazing teacher and person overall. She makes all the posters in her room and she makes many posters for other teachers as well, for free! She understands that her students need breaks sometimes and she always lets us sit next to our friends and eat food in her class. However, she does still discipline her students firmly when needed. She’s great at teaching us material and always providing help whenever her students need it. She also understands that we can get stressed, and sometimes she needs to shorten or excuse an assignment. I generally cannot think of a single critique to make her teaching better. She runs her classroom in a very organized, safe, and fun manner. She’s one of my only teacher’s who can make our class motivated to get our assignments done well and make learning fun. Mrs. Cimenski also always says why we have to do the assignment we are, so we can understand how it will help us in our lives. This makes doing assignments much more bearable. She also has a menu where her students earn “moneys” everytime we get 100% on an assignment. This motivates our class to get our assignments done well and work together as a class to save up for a movie as an entire class. Mrs. Cimenski is such an awesome person/teacher, she deserves every bit of recognition.”
