“Ms. Joy literally spreads joy to her 3rd grade students and everyone in our school community every single day! She believes learning to read is the best gift you can give a child and she stops at nothing to help every child achieve their goals. Nearly all students at Olene Walker come from low-income households and about 60% are multilingual students. Ms. Joy goes above and beyond to support students and their families by conducting home visits, listening to their needs, targeting her instruction, and loving them with her whole heart. It’s an honor to work with Ms. Joy and students are truly thriving in her classroom.”
