“A kind, deeply caring woman/teacher who sees into a childs soul… not just the academic end of them. I have seen Katie in action for a few years now and she never changes, no matter how hard the day. Each child has a story….some luckier than others, some sadder than others. Katie digs a bit into their perfect souls and finds the strength they each have and then makes them feel special to the whole world! Her voice is filled with a softness, yet promising tone that makes them confident to do their work. Her demeanor is consistent…..a real and ever decreasing beautiful piece of character. Consistency. Katie is organized; gently she follows through with the childrens classroom responsibilities, and they do it! Occasionally a child has a super bad day…..and she lets them off the hook with love and acceptance. How I admire this woman and teacher.”
