“Kimi Bayles has been a first-grade teacher at Gerald Wright Elementary for 20 years, and she is truly exceptional. I have never seen a teacher love and care for her students the way she does. She consistently goes above and beyond in everything she teaches.
Kimi is incredibly hands-on and engaging. It’s inspiring to watch her in the classroom she’s always right there with her students, often kneeling down to meet them at their level, making sure each child feels seen, heard, and supported. Teaching first grade is no easy task, especially when it’s many students’ first full day of structured learning, yet she handles it with patience, energy, and genuine joy.
The level of learning her students achieve is remarkable, and she has a unique gift for making every subject fun and exciting. Her passion for teaching shines through in everything she does, and it leaves a lasting impact on her students.”
