“Kristen is a teacher that will put the extra time in to prepare. She loves the children she teaches and cares for each one and helps each of them to succeed. She is creative in her teaching techniques. Earlier this year her grade level was leaning about the earth and the creatures below the waters, on the earth and above in the air. She came up with a Glow in the dark exhibition for the students to participate in. They all drew creatures with a medium that glows. They used an empty room and decorated it with black paper, and an earth was created with all of the things that the students had drawn. I saw the pictures and it was amazing. Kristen likes to get the kids involved. She starts each day with watching the eagle’s nest in California and the progress on each egg as it hatches and grows. Kristen seems to understand the needs of the students and works to answer their needs.”
