“I graduated about 7 years ago and I had Mrs. Howe for ASL all 3 years in school. Because of her passion for ASL and teaching me a culture, I continued learning ASL in college. I was called to an English speaking mission, but when I got there, they were opening an ASL mission and asked me to be one of the first. Because of Mrs. Howe allowing us to be immersed in the language in her class, I was able to fail in a safe space, so when I needed to succeed in the real situations, I did. I love ASL so much and it is all thanks to the incredible teacher I had. She changed my career plans, and I will finishing up my interpreting program this Spring and it is all thanks to Kylie Howe.”
