“I’m a substitute teacher. I’ve substituted for many different schools, classes and grades. Every classroom has its fair share of obstacles. You’re consistently balancing behaviors, learning and keeping kids engaged.
I have been fortunate enough to substitute as a para educator (A supportive roll to the teacher). in Lisa Hayes classroom a few times.
Lisa Hayes teaches multiple grades in a special education class (grades 3-5). She manages to not only teach different grade levels in one classroom but she keeps behaviors in check, has a welcoming environment, loves the kids and the kids stay engaged with her teaching. She even has a fun reward system for them where they earn class cash that they can use in the their classroom store later on.
I love working in her classroom. The kids are way fun to play with at recess and teach in the classroom. It’s all because of the well orchestrated classroom Lisa Hayes has built.”
