“Mr. Kelley cares more for his students than any other teacher I’ve met in my life. He started teaching at our school only two years ago and already made an impact on every person who entered that building. He ended up leaving North Ogden Jr. High last year for Sky View High School due to commute distance but even that helped us. We didn’t know how to accept change before and now we’ve grown to be okay with it. He keeps in touch and continues to say how much he loves our school.
Mr. Kelley was the choir teacher, drama teacher , and theater director at our school. I cannot even count the amount of kids that he helped out of their shell. I grew not only as a performer but as a person. He was consistently putting our needs before his and made the biggest effort to know each and everyone of us. He went to extra measures to make sure that everyone was comfortable with going out of their comfort zone.
He is the most talented person I’ve ever met. We would play piano and conduct the choir and the same time. He knew exactly what we needed to help ourselves every time. He understands the importance of pushing yourself but not stretching yourself too far.
I’ll never meet anyone as kind, determined, trustworthy, and unique as him. I’m forever grateful for the impact he made on our Whole community.”
