Animation of an award for the teacher feature special by KSL...

Mr. Lloyd is more than a teacher to his 6th grade class. Because of his personality and skill I have watched my daughter Casidy raise her grades (in every subject) and become more excited about school. She has excelled so much with him and enjoys every minute of his class. She is now reading on her own and not afraid to pick up a book and actually finish it! Every day she comes home and tells me something new Mr. Lloyd taught her. I am so impressed with how he knows his students and knows how each one learns. In fact he has given every student a nickname and he calls them by it. The kids love this! He is very interactive with them and works with them to learn. He finds great ways to help them to understand and retain the lessons while they are enjoying it. Mr. Lloyd puts a lot of heart and dedication into his students. He teaches the kids more than the lessons in a book. You can see this in the way his class acts and how they treat him. I see Casidy come home every day happy and excited about what he will teach tomorrow. I am so impressed with the way he has helped Casidy that I will never find a way to really Thank him for what he has helped her with. On a personal note, I was so amazed and impressed to watch Mr. Lloyd attend a school award function that two of his students were in. The reason for this is he made time to attend this for his students then rush off to be at an immediate family member’s funeral. He wanted to make sure his students felt that they were important to him even though he was dealing with a death in the family. This showed me what type of dedication and commitment he has toward his students. It goes way farther than any other teacher I have met. This is a person that Casidy will remember the rest of her life.
