“Mrs. Ward is a second grade teacher at Huntington Elementary, a Title 1 school with ESL students. She is a high energy teacher, that is fully engaged in each students needs and works hard for all students success. She maintains a caring and loving environment for her students and parents, year after year. She has a connection with her students and makes each feel like the superstar of the class. Not only does she see the need for unity in the classroom, but also among all students in the school, and with her co-workers. She is always actively implementing ways to achieve this. She has always been willing to share her great ideas and help with the needs of other teachers, the Bronco Pride Good Deed drawing each quarter, summer school, to help with students success, robotics, an after school program. Just to name a few of her countless acts for success in unity for all. This year she decorated a cart to celebrate all the faculty and staff with a “Sweet Treat, as Sweet as they are!” She assigned each class a faculty or staff member, to make cards for their special day and that class gets to push the cart with the treats and cards to someone they are honoring, making that person or persons feel special and loved! What a great idea and a Superstar Teacher Mrs. Ward is! Her love for her students and school is so deserving of this award!”
