“Ms. Moser shaped me into who I am today. Through the classic method of education at Maeser, she challenged everyones opinion without showing her own bias, which helped me to learn how to think critically and consider all views of an argument. She not only taught virtues, she taught examples of historical figures who had those virtues, which helped us to see how we could practice those virtues. She is so passionate about her job and it rubs off on her students helping them be more engaged and excited to learn. She got me excited about government, and has made me want to be involved in local politics, and to be an informed voter. She leads life changing discussions in her Socratic class, which is English, history, and philosophy combined into one class. She values academic integrity and pushes every student to grow, not only in homework quality, but more importantly in character.
Not only is she an excellent teacher, she is a wonderful mentor and someone you can trust. During the hardest moments in my life she was there to listen. She taught me that it’s ok to cry. She supported me when I needed support. I have a hard time trusting people, especially adults, but I was able to trust her very quickly. When I thought about quitting baseball because of the kids on the team, she listened to the issues I had, and she pushed me to help the kids on the team to have better character, but I know she would have supported me even if I quit. She also helped me see what is important in my life. My character has grown so much because of her.
