“I would like to nominate my son if that is possible. I see first hand how committed, well liked and respected he is. Not only is he a full time CTE teacher, but additionally he is the athletic trainer at Grantsville High School for all the sports. He spends countless hours beyond the classroom requirements helping keep athletes well trained and safe. His dedication to his skill and job is unsurpassed. At a recent home football game, a player from the opposing school was seriously hurt and that school did not have an athletic trainer with them. Richard went out of the filed and actually layed down on the field beside the injured player and treated him and comforted him at the same time. He stayed by his side until the ambulance and additional help arrived. He even followed up with he family the following day. This is but one example of how he shows his love and dedication to the students and athlete on a daily basis.”
