“She started the school year just after receiving a Breast cancer diagnosis. She has taught through months of Chemotherapy where during the first round of chemo just left early for the treatments, and the second round where they were all day sessions she would take off the day but be right back at school sometimes running school assemblies with an upbeat and positive attitude like nothing happened. She teaches Middle School Social Studies and runs Student Council. She always has time for her students that need hugs or just to talk. She is currently out of school right now recovering from a double mastectomy. She still lets students face time her for their comfort and zooms in at least once a week to talk to her classes.”
