Crash on SLC’s California Avenue sends 1 to hospital, forces early morning commuter delays

SALT LAKE CITY — One person is in critical condition after a crash in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Just after 6 a.m., officials said “significant delays” were expected during the morning commute hours near the crash site at 4980 W. California Ave.

Police said one person had been taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. No other information was immediately provided.
